They have arrived!

What an exciting morning - not one, but two butterflies and one moth!

By mid morning they were all ready to go out into the garden.

The butterflies spent several hours just sitting in this position before they finally took off.
I'm looking forward to seeing them fluttering around my yard.

Any minute now…...

Any minute now and we are going to have our first butterfly. Very exciting!

I see a butterfly!

Our chrysalises may not make it to next Tuesday after all. I can see the wings inside
Chrysalis Number 1 and also a pair of big black eyes.

Our third moth has been released and I noticed that it has a slightly different
wing shape from the other two moths.

The Benjis and Bobs continue to eat, but so far it is just the Bobs who are changing into pupas.

Another moth!

Our third moth emerged this morning. He is currently drying his wings and then he will be released later today. We now have 2 moth pupas left plus the pupa with the hard casing - I'm not sure if anything will ever come out of there.
The Benjis are not doing so well. None of them have shown any sign of spinning or changing and many of them have died over the last few days - we may have more luck watching them outside the office when school returns.
The two chrysalises have changed slightly in colour - they are both now a lighter green.
